In this report I will cover the latest statistics for towns like Redmond, Bend and Sunriver just so you’re more aware of what’s really happening with Real Estate in Central Oregon and when you should consider buying or selling a home here.
We will start this report in Sisters Oregon where the median home value is now $354,500 and has seen an increase in prices of 3.5 percent in the last year.
Next we will move to Prineville where the median home value is $172,200 and has increased by over 7 percent in the last year thanks to more jobs in the area including Facebook’s Data Center.
Median home value - $214,200
Home values in Redmond have increased by over 13 percent in the last year alone and many analysts including Zillow predict that Redmond Oregon Home Prices will only increase by at least another 3 percent in the next 12 months.
The median rent in Redmond has increased in the last year to about $1,200 per month so now is a great time to buy if you’re tired of renting and want to build equity each month.
Median home value - $306,500
When you travel to Bend it’s very obvious that the city has seen huge growth in the last year and there’s been a HUGE demand for homes to keep up with that demand.
Bend Oregon’s median home value is now $306,500; home values have increased by 6.5 percent in the last 12 months and they are expected to increase by another 1 to 2 percent in the next 12 months as well.
Sadly, Bend’s median rent is now $1,495, but that’s also another reason to buy a home thanks to historically low mortgage interest rates which make home ownership very affordable right now.
Median home value - $457,691
Sunriver has seen a huge increase in their home values in recent years and that’s showing no sign of slowing down in 2015 as there were 102 sales recently in Sunriver.
